Patriot Guard was invited to participate in the unveiling ceremony today for the statue bust of Staff Sgt. Marcus A. Golczynski, USMC. When Heather Golczynski (widow of SSG Golczynski) asked her son, Christian, what she should say about his Dad today he told her “Daddy was a great Marine”. SSG Golczynski’s family focused on “Never Forgetting” our fallen heroes and their families today along with remembering Marcus and their pride in him.
From the program:
“I want all of you to be safe. And please don’t feel bad for us. We are warriors. And as warriors have done before us, we joined this organization and are following orders because we believe that what we are doing is right. Many of us have volunteered to do this a second time due to our deep desire to finish the job we started. We fight and sometimes die so that our families don’t have to. Stand beside us. Because we would do it for you. Because it is our unity that has enabled us to prosper as a nation.”
Operation Never Forget honors our fallen heroes with life size bronze or marble bust statues. Todays ceremony was to unveil that statue of SSG Golzynski.
Lewisburg, Tn went all out in putting together this ceremony. Local support was amazing as has been demonstrated previously. There was a bit of controversy surrounding a photo of young Christian at the time of the memorial last year. If you’d like to read more about that go to Blackfive.

I had the humbling honor of being at this ceremony. The ceremony itself was very well put together- the presentation of the colors, the songs, and the unveiling of the bust were all very emotional for me. The most touching part of this experience was his family though- their courage, strength, and love for this man who gave his life for our country. They made this a celebration and remembrance of his life, which is what OperationNeverForget is all about. May God Bless them always!
