When I visited with Joy Ford of Country International Records last Wednesday she mentioned the news below. She was very encouraged and thankful. This wasn’t the only group that was preparing to make public their support so stay tuned.
The National Federation of Independent Business is siding with the property owner in a Music Row eminent domain case involving a multi-million dollar project that’s being blocked by a small business owner defending her property rights.
(snip)
The NFIB maintains the state — which in this case is the housing authority — is overstepping its bounds and vows to defend Ford “every step of the way.”
“In apparent violation of state law, Nashville’s Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency has taken steps to condemn the Music Row property of Joy Ford, owner of Country International Records,” the NFIB says in a statement released today. Nashville Business Journal
I don’t see the statement on the NFIB site yet but here’s their Eminent Domain Abuse page.
