Often times when I hear the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (2nd) discussed, even by those calling themselves conservative, and quite often by those running for political office, they allow for the prohibition of firearms possession by those who have been convicted of a felony. I do not share this view, nor do I believe it passes Constitutional muster. The 2nd says “. . . the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” The term infringe comes from the Latin infringere and means to break or weaken.
