Political decisions impact far more than just the immediate areas they pertain to. Local politics affect state politics which affect national politics which impact international politics. This simple truth is the basis underlying the maxim that all politics is local.
Given that, it seems right to us that the more we can influence the decisions made at the local and state levels, the more we can influence decisions made at the national and international levels. It’s not actually that simple and it won’t happen overnight but it is a great place to begin and we won’t ever arrive at a place of influence someday if we don’t start today!
The Tennessee ConserVOLiance is committed to the idea that by working together, sharing information and strategy, the Conservative bloggers and New Media members from Tennessee can impact our cities, our state and our nation! I recently made a request to get information from Gwen Tidwell, Criminal Court Clerk in Hamilton County. After the request, I was followed and harassed by the Chattanooga Police. After making another request, she has refused to return my phone calls. I don’t believe that she will give me the data I need to start my research.
I am a graduate professor with Central Michigan University, and I am researching arrest patterns in Chattanooga.
Please advise me on what to do,
